Design The Vivo V1Max is available in white colour and we received the same for review. The Vivo V1Max body is supported by a U-shaped frame, which curves gently at the four corners. The smartphone has a metal back panel along with small plastic bands at the top and bottom. The mobile phone is sleek, it is just 6.80mm thick and has 165g weight. The Vivo V1Max has a bright 5.5-inch full HD display, which is quite impressive and it also comes with bright vibrant colours. The battery is non-removable, so the users cannot replace it by themselves. The V1Max is dual-SIM enabled (one is Micro and second one is Nano). The second SIM slot doubles up as the slot for expandable storage that is located at the left side of the mobile phone. The power button is located on the right side of the phone along with the volume key. The USB port is located at the bottom of the phone, while the 3.5mm audio port is located at the top of the device. The Vivo V1Max also has two speakers at the rear, one on each of the plastic bands. The primary camera is on the top left (rear) of the mobile phone, which comes with the LED flash. A neat pair of headphones also comes in the box. Performance Under the hood, the Vivo V1Max is a reliable and consistent performer. It has the 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor that comes along with 2GB of RAM for applications and services. The users also get 16GB of internal memory to store files. Over that, there is an option to add up to a 128GB microSD card where users can store additional files.  All this runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615. To power the device, Vivo V1Max has its FunTouch OS 2.1 user interface layered over Android 5.0 Lollipop. The smartphone has an easy-to-use interface and an uncomplicated setup process.   The primary camera of Vivo V1Max can capture 13-megapixel still images and 1080p videos. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The camera app has a lot of good features and one of the interesting features is the palm activated self-timer, which starts the timer when the camera detects a palm being shown. The camera captures really detailed pictures, but it needs time to focus properly and adjust to the light. The 5-megapixel front camera, on the other hand, needs sufficient amount of light for a good click. But the close-up shots were quite nice. The Vivo V1Max smartphone’s screen, image and video quality is above average. The dual-speaker offers proper stereo sound while playing music that makes the listening session more entertaining than what you’d get from usual mobile phone speakers. The supplied headphones get the job done and one can hear the beats clearly. The place where the phone stresses a bit is gaming. You can’t play games for too long on the mobile phone because the phone gets slightly warm while playing. Coming on to its battery life, the Vivo V1Max does manage to stay awake for a long duration. With 2,720 mAh battery inside it, we did get between 22 to 24 hours after a full charge (under nominal use).We tested the phone out with AnTuTu Benchmark and it managed a score of 35,216 points, which puts in the upper side of the pack. Verdict The Vivo V1Max is an all-rounder, which performs extremely well with most tasks. It has really good voice quality and a user can easily hear stuff without any problem. We did like the looks and the stylish design of the phone. The smartphone has minimum of bloatware, which is also appreciable. The Vivo V1Max can be picked up for Rs 21,980. Pros
