We are confident that this development will mark an important milestone in India’s electrification journey, and further reinforce our commitment towards developing sustainable and responsible mobility solutions for India.” The electric car will be available in three variants XZ+ LUX, XZ+ and XM. The automobile looks like the standard petrol model of the Nexon and will come in three colour options of Signature Teal Blue colour, Moonlit Silver and Glacier White. Tata guarantees an additional warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 kms on the battery as well as motor. In terms of design, it has a slim, wide grille-cum-lamp entity is underscored by the Tata Motors Humanity Line running from lamp to lamp. On the inside, TATA says Nexon comes with a modern design, spacious interiors and premium sound management. The car comes equipped with a 7-inch Harman infotainment system that offers better connectivity and sound quality. The music system also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Available in the top-line model. Tata Nexon EV comes with a 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor that is powered by AC motor powered by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. As per the company, the motor produces 245 Nm of instant torque from a standstill, enabling Nexon EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9.9 seconds. The battery is dust, as well as waterproof that, is IP67 certified and it is liquid-cooled to excel in Indian conditions. There are two drive mode options offered in the vehicle Drive and Sport. It uses smart drive tech features such as Regenerative Braking to charge the battery while coasting, Hill Ascent and Descent Assist are also there to make driving on slopes more convenient and Smarter Regen with Creep feature allows the user to tackle congested city traffic without fatigue. On a single charge, the Tata Nexon EV delivers more than 300 kilometres of long-range. The car can be charged from any 15W plug point. But when plugged into a fast DC charger the battery charges to 80 per cent within 60 minutes. Tata Nexon EV is now available for pre-booking. From today onwards you can book it for by paying an amount of Rs 21,000 via select authorised dealers in the country or through the company’s official website.
