According to Sony, “This technology of “Dynamic Music Creation in Gaming” comprises of an AI system that monitors a game’s onscreen characters, emotions being conveyed in a certain scene, or even the player’s in-game location, playstyle, and performance in order to generate said game’s soundtrack on the fly.” Furthermore, the new patent “Dynamic Music Creation in Gaming” has notified that this is done through mapping one or more musical motifs to a programming vector, which is in turn assigned to a certain emotion. “When the game detects that emotion being conveyed in the game, the type and tone of music assigned to the vector are generated,” the blog post added. However, it is not yet clear if this feature will be present in the PS5 at launch or a later time, or if it’s destined for an even more cutting-edge piece of hardware, but it’s possible. Up until now, Sony has been promising a number of intriguing new features and technologies for the PS5, with the console demonstrating its impressive graphical capabilities during a recent tech demo of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. Beside this, John Wick Hex developer Mike Bithell had earlier claimed that DualSense’s haptic feedback technology on a recent podcast can simulate such sensations as the feel of raindrops pouring from the sky. Isn’t this an interesting feature? As far as the launch date of Sony’s next-gen console PlayStation 5 (PS5) is concerned, rumour mills has been hinting at a November 2020 release date for the system. In addition to this, PlayStation fans can also sign up on the official website to be among the first to receive updates as and when Sony announces them. Mind you! This includes news on the PS5 release date, PS5 price and upcoming roster of PS5 launch games. Last month, Sony came out with a first look at the DualSense wireless controller along with PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech that will deliver a new feeling of immersion to players. Sony incorporated adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons of DualSense so the users can truly feel the tension of their actions, like when drawing a bow to shoot an arrow. DualSense also adds a built-in microphone array, which will enable players to easily chat with friends without a headset – ideal for jumping into a quick conversation.
