This year’s Galaxy Unpacked event will be presented online because of the Covid-19 outbreak. The show is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. IST. The event will be live broadcast on Samsung Newsroom and Samsung.com including the metaverse. The Samsung Galaxy S22 launch event will see the firm unveil three premium smartphones: the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and the top-tier Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. In addition to this, the company is also likely to introduce the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, along with the company’s flagship S22 series smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series specifications and pricing(expected)

As per reports, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be powered by the 4nm Exynos 2200 SoC, as well as the company’s Xclipse GPU based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture. In other markets including India, the flagship series is likely to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. In addition to this, the vanilla S22 is said to allow 25W charging, while the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will support 45W charging. None of the phones will come with a charger. The Galaxy S22 will have a 6.1-inch display, while the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra would have 6.6-inch and 6.8-inch screens, respectively. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels on all three Galaxy S22 devices will have a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 30x Space Zoom. Both the phones are said to have 10-megapixel sensors on the front for selfies. While the most premium Galaxy S21 Ultra will include a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel periscope camera with 100x Space Zoom. Additionally, the device is expected to feature a 40-megapixel selfie camera. The price of the Galaxy S22 series smartphones in the United States has also been revealed ahead of the introduction of the Galaxy S22 series. The Samsung Galaxy S22 will cost $799 which is approximately Rs 59,800, the Galaxy S22+ will cost $999 which is about Rs 74,800, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra will cost $1,199 which translates to Rs 89,800 in the United States.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series specifications and pricing (expected)

At today’s Unpacked event Samsung is also expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series. The upcoming device is likely to include three models to its flagship tablet series namely Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. According to the source, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 would have an 11-inch WQXGA LCD TFT display with a resolution of 2,5601,600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Galaxy Tab S8+, on the other hand, is expected to have a 12.4-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,8001,752 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is expected to include a 14.6-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,9601,848 pixels and a comparable refresh rate. According to the leaked renderings, the device would include S Pen functionality as well as USB Type C connection. According to reports, the gadgets do not come with a charger. The standard S8, on the other hand, is believed to have an 8,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S8+ will be driven by a 10,090mAh battery, while the Tab S8 Ultra will be powered by an 11,200mAh battery. All the tablets will support 45W rapid charging. All three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Series will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of expandable internal storage. In terms of pricing, the vanilla S8 was located in a European shop for EUR 970, which translates to Rs 82,100, while the Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are priced at EUR 999 and EUR 1,699, which correspond to Rs 84,500 and Rs 1,43,700, respectively.
