Now the Google Maps users able to edit and manage their profile and before they were only allowed to check up on their Local Guides points. With the new profile tab, the users have control over their profile. It now allows you to display your photos, reviews, lists, and other Maps content. With the new update, you can now change your Google name along with your profile picture. Other than that you can also add a short bio to your profile. From now onwards Your name, photo, and bio will always be showcased on your profile. You can now manage your account settings and privacy controls.  Now you can search your past contributions and posts and find the views and likes on your contributions. In order to change your name and profile picture open the Google Maps app on your Android device. You will find name and photo at the top of your Maps profile. Then tap the Menu button then Your Profile option after that tap Edit Profile and then Edit name and photo After entering your preferred name and choosing a profile picture tap Save. To let other users also know more about yourself you can also Add a short Bio to your Google Maps public profile. The Bio can bee seen by every even you have hidden your contributions on your profile. To Tap on the Menu option within the Google Maps app. The Tap on Your Profile Option and then Edit Profile. Now  you can write a short bio of yours with up to 500 characters. After writing Bio tap Save. You also get an option to Delete your Bio within the profile settings. Besides this, if you ae Local Guide now you can check your level, points, and badges in the Google Maps app. Within Your Profile option, you can view your local guide level and points under your name and check your badges and number of contributions tap the arrow icon.
