The company in its announcement said, “In view of the ongoing pandemic and precautionary measures being taken, OPPO India, today announced its support to the customers by extending the warranty services for OPPO smartphones, accessories and even the customer service offers. The offers include extended warranty across all smartphones and accessories whose warranty has expired during the lockdown period starting 23rd March 2020.” Other companies such as Huawei, Honor and Realme have already announced the extension of the warranty service on their devices which covers smartphones, smart wearable, audio devices (including earphones, headphones and speakers) and other accessories. According to Oppo, the warranty extension is applicable to products purchased from authorized offline and online platforms whose validity expires post 23rd March 2020 till further notice. This move has been taken to ensure the well-being of the general public because at the moment the company has suspended all on-ground repair operations. Moreover, the Oppo has also started Online Service that will help customers with basic troubleshooting and software related issues all day long.  The extended warranty services are available under the below mentioned Terms and conditions until further notice

On Thursday, Realme has also announced that it has extended the warranty period on all the products till May 31. This applies to Realme smartphones, wearables, and more whose warranty expires between March 20 to April 20. Along with this initiative the company has also extended the replacement period to 30 days on devices that were purchased after March 15 to April 30.  While on the other hand, Huawei has also issued warranty extensions on all its devices till June 30 whose warranty expires between March 21 to June 21. Similarly, this applies the same to the company’s sub-brand Honor mobile phones including all the accessories as well as wearables.
