With Airtel‘s 4G services, people on the Lakshadweep Islands will be able to enjoy various digital services like HD quality video streaming, superfast downloads and uploads, and high speeds internet browsing. The company has also said that 4G services will also give an overall boost to the local economy of the island. We should point out that Lakshadweep is also a very popular tourist destination. With the addition of 4G network, people visiting the island will also be able to access seamless mobile broadband connectivity, provided they have an Airtel connection. Starting today, the 4G network from Airtel will be live across Agatti, Bangaram and Kavaratti. The 4G network would gradually roll out to the rest of the island as well. The company has also said that after rolling out its services to Lakshadweep, Airtel’s high-speed 4G network covers the length and breadth of India. Airtel has also added that it has expanded the high-speed networks to the remotest corners of the North East.
